QA Engineer
Test Engineer responsible for maintaining and enhancing automated test suites for a web‑based Federal Case Management Tool, using Java, Selenium, API testing and SQL in an Agile environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for the FCMT web application using Java and Selenium.
- Design and perform API and database validation tests, writing SQL queries to verify data integrity across VA and DoD systems.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members in Agile ceremonies to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, and track defects in the test management system, ensuring timely resolution.
- Support regression testing cycles for new releases and system enhancements, updating test cases as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automated functional testing.
- Proficiency in Java programming and Selenium WebDriver for web‑application testing.
- Strong knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured) and SQL for data verification.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using defect tracking tools.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills to interact with cross‑functional teams.
