Duties
- Develop and maintain automated and manual test cases to validate software functionality across various platforms and environments
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define testing strategies
- Execute tests on applications built with programming languages such as Python, C++, and other relevant languages
- Utilize scripting skills in Bash (Unix shell) to automate testing workflows and streamline processes
- Perform API testing for RESTful services to ensure seamless integration and data exchange between systems
- Identify, document, and track bugs or issues using version control systems and bug tracking tools; verify fixes through regression testing
- Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated tests to improve deployment speed and reliability
- Conduct technical troubleshooting support to diagnose issues related to scalability, performance bottlenecks, or system failures
- Contribute to the development of scalable software solutions by applying principles of AI, machine learning, and software engineering best practices
Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and scripting with Bash (Unix shell) for automation tasks
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies to facilitate iterative testing cycles
- Experience with software development processes including application development, version control, and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of SQL for database validation and data integrity checks
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs for testing integrations between different services or components
- Background in AI or machine learning concepts to support testing of intelligent systems or algorithms
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams effectively
- Solid grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles for designing test frameworks and reusable code modules
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to system scalability, performance, or application stability
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks that support scalable testing environments
