Test Engineer Remote
Blu Omega is seeking a Test Engineer to support a federal program focused on healthcare and enterprise application integration. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for validating file-based ingestion processes, business rules, system workflows, and integrations supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The position requires experience supporting enterprise applications in a government healthcare environment.

- Develop, execute, and maintain manual test plans and test cases for file ingestion workflows and enterprise applications.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and business rule compliance across inbound and outbound file processing.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of application workflows, database updates, and voucher creation processes.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, Scrum teams, and VA stakeholders to validate functionality, identify defects, and ensure high-quality software releases.
- Utilize Jira and Jira XRay to manage test cases, track defects, and maintain traceability.
- Support integration testing across enterprise systems, including EHRM, DAS, and FMS.
- Document test results, defects, remediation activities, and release artifacts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics with technical teams and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications in a quality engineering or QA role.
- Experience developing and executing manual test plans for file processing, data validation, and workflows.
- Proficiency with Jira and Jira XRay for test management and defect tracking.
- Understanding of SDLC, software testing methodologies, and QA best practices.
- Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs or federal healthcare programs.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Active Public Trust clearance credentials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM), DAS, FMS, or similar healthcare systems.
- Experience supporting sustainment, integration testing, or release validation.
- Familiarity working with C#/.NET development teams.
- Experience validating file-based data ingestion and enterprise data workflows.
- Supporting federal programs in Agile Scrum environments.
