Software Engineer
Lead test and validation efforts for next‑generation aircraft engines, designing flight test plans, executing instrumentation, and analyzing data using Python and MATLAB to ensure performance and safety compliance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for aircraft engine prototypes, ensuring alignment with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Design, calibrate, and maintain flight test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Analyze test data using Python and MATLAB, generating reports that inform design improvements and certification milestones.
- Collaborate with design, reliability, and quality teams to perform Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Validation & Verification (V&V) activities.
- Document test procedures, results, and lessons learned in accordance with aerospace standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in flight test or engine validation environments.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace testing standards (e.g., DO-178, DO-254, ISO 26262).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
