About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Mobile Communications Operations Vehicles, including RVs and F‑550 trucks, ensuring safe and efficient deployment.
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot RF communication equipment to provide reliable connectivity in field operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and diagnostics on vehicle and communication systems, documenting all work in compliance with agency standards.
- Collaborate with incident command and technical teams to integrate mobile comms into broader emergency response plans.
- Respond to technical issues in real time, applying IT troubleshooting skills to resolve connectivity and equipment failures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT troubleshooting and RF communications.
- Valid commercial driver’s license and experience operating large commercial vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of mobile communications equipment and emergency response protocols.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments.
