Software Engineer
Estimate and prepare competitive bids for telecom construction projects, focusing on fiber optic and outside plant infrastructure, by analyzing drawings, specifications, and resource requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze telecom project documentation, including construction drawings, fiber network designs, and technical specifications.
- Develop detailed cost estimates covering labor, materials (fiber, cabling, infrastructure components), equipment, tools, and subcontractor services.
- Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals that align with project scope, timelines, and client requirements.
- Evaluate project scope and resource needs to identify cost‑saving opportunities and risk factors.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and field teams to ensure estimate accuracy and feasibility.
Requirements
- Proven experience in telecom infrastructure cost estimating, preferably with fiber optic and OSP projects.
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel for detailed cost modeling.
- Excellent written communication skills for bid proposal preparation.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
