Job Description:
VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) offers enterprise customers a comprehensive suite of compute options—including VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS), VM service, and Container Pod service—to run modern and AI/ML workloads. These capabilities are powered by a natively embedded Kubernetes substrate (Supervisor) within VCF vSphere. VMware @ Broadcom is looking for a seasoned Senior Product Manager to drive product strategy, roadmap, and ecosystem integration for VKS and Supervisor. In this high-impact role, you will work closely with customers, open-source communities, and cross-functional engineering, marketing, sales and support teams to shape the future of cloud-native infrastructure on vSphere.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute the multi-year product strategy for VKS, identifying market opportunities across cloud-native and emerging AI/ML use cases.
- Product Execution: Translate customer needs into crisp product requirements, specs, and user experience workflows in close collaboration with engineering and UX.
- Go-to-Market & Enablement: Partner with product marketing and sales to create compelling collaterals, drive early customer adoption, and accelerate VCF deployments.
- Community & Evangelism: Engage with open-source communities (CNCF/Kubernetes) and represent VMware at industry forums, VMUGs, and conferences.
- Customer Engagement: Lead deep-dive discovery sessions with global enterprise customers and partners to validate product direction and build feedback loops.
Required Skills:
- Product management experience in enterprise cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, platform engineering, or virtualization.
- Deep Kubernetes & Cloud-Native Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with K8s control plane architecture, Cluster API, scheduling, CNI/CSI, and the broader CNCF ecosystem alongside vSphere/ESXi.
- Cloud infrastructure and DevOps Knowledge : Good understanding of private and public cloud infrastructure, including Compute, Storage and Networking, and modern devops models.
- Technical Depth: Demonstrated ability to converse comfortably with principal engineers and enterprise cloud architects.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven track record of guiding products from concept through launch alongside engineering, UX, and GTM teams.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to customers and technical audiences.
Desired Skills:
- Direct experience or active engagement with open-source governance and CNCF communities.
- Track record of presenting at major industry conferences (e.g., KubeCon, VMUG).
