Software Engineer
Hands‑on Technology Engineer responsible for building, operating, and securing server, platform and network infrastructure, automating tooling, and acting as the technical liaison for internal teams and external service providers.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Linux‑based servers, virtual machines, and containerised workloads across on‑premise and cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and configuration management using Python, Ansible, and Docker to improve operational efficiency.
- Implement and monitor security controls, perform vulnerability assessments, and respond to incidents to ensure a robust cybersecurity posture.
- Provide technical expertise and day‑to‑day support for the ISP production network, OSS/BSS platforms, and corporate IT services.
- Collaborate with NOC, external vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve infrastructure issues and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Linux system administration and networking concepts (routing, switching, VLANs).
- Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python and tools such as Ansible or similar.
- Hands‑on experience with container technologies (Docker) and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize shifting tasks, and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
