Software Engineer
We're looking for a Software Engineer focused on designing and building scalable technical solutions. This mid level role requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
About the role
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up, troubleshoot, and recover complex downtime issues for test equipment, including Testcell, Tester, Bagger, VDCS, and Conveyor systems, with minimal supervision.
- Proven experience leading and supporting Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, enhance OEE, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Testcell yield issues to maintain product quality, throughput, and equipment stability.
- Conduct detailed investigations for quality incidents related to test equipment, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform product conversions, equipment setup, calibration, and optimization to support various production and engineering requirements.
- Monitor and analyze KPIVs using tools such as KPOV database, OEE tracking, Maintenance Logs, and Digital Preventive Maintenance systems to identify trends and drive equipment improvement actions.
- Drive and support equipment upgrades, automation improvements, reliability enhancement, and continuous improvement projects to improve equipment performance and manufacturing efficiency.
- Act as a technical trainer and mentor for test equipment, supporting upskilling and knowledge transfer activities within the team.
- Perform equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and checklist verification in accordance with standard operating procedures and engineering requirements.
- Support engineers in daily technical activities, machine evaluations, qualifications, and special projects.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking and troubleshooting capability in identifying complex equipment issues and making effective technical decisions under high-pressure production conditions.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and observation skills to identify abnormalities, equipment degradation, and potential failure indicators early.
- Quickly learn and adapt to new equipment, technologies, and manufacturing processes with minimal guidance.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, documentation practices, ESD requirements, and manufacturing procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements, and cleanroom protocols.
REQUIRED:
- Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related field).
- 4-5 years’ working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Proven experience independently troubleshooting and recovering complex downtime issues on automated test equipment, including Test cell, Tester, Bagger, VDCS, Conveyor, robotics, and integrated automation systems.
