As a Technical Writer you will be a core member of the Documentation team, assisting with all manner of software documentation as well as communications internally and externally with regard to releases, functionality and always being representative of the user experience. You will participate in the Agile process, collaborating with SCRUM teams and identifying opportunities to develop new content.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Assist in the creation and management of user documentation for our full suite of products.
- Participate in the writing process of release notes and documentation updates in response to feature development, and manage a backlog of user content requests.
- Assist development teams in creating a consistent, intuitive user experience for all Lone Wolf products.
- Collect user feedback through direct interaction and automated collection, and define a strategy for improvement.
- Conduct user content walk-throughs for both internal and external audiences.
- Draw on written and verbal communication skills when collaborating with teams across multiple departments.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to communicate technically complex concepts in a clear, concise manner to audiences with varying levels of technical comprehension.
- Experience developing an information plan and executing on it in a timely fashion.
- Lifelong student who enjoys using a wide variety of software applications, learning new ones, and figuring out how things work using the trial and error method.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, you like collaborating with Product Owners, Developers, Subject Matter Experts, client-facing representatives, and other technical writers to determine user content needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment where you can apply your analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Keen eye for detail and strong editorial skills help you create compelling and visually appealing written content.
- Exposure to content management systems such as Confluence and Salesforce Knowledge would be a plus.
- Any prior experience with accounting systems, CRMs, or the real estate industry, as well as an understanding of SCRUM, Agile Development Methodology, and how they interact with the project life-cycle.
- Experience creating topic-based content is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post graduate education is preferred but not required.
- A university degree in Technical Communication is ideal; however, equivalent work experience is also highly valued.
