Software Engineer
Senior Technical Support Engineer responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex issues across Verkada’s AI‑powered security platform, leveraging Python, AWS, Linux, and networking expertise to deliver rapid, customer‑centric solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve high‑complexity technical issues reported by enterprise customers across video security, access control, and IoT sensor products.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts and automation tools to streamline incident response and root‑cause analysis on AWS‑hosted services.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and field teams to reproduce bugs, provide detailed logs, and recommend product improvements.
- Document solutions in internal knowledge bases and create concise, customer‑friendly troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in on‑call rotations, ensuring 24/7 support coverage and rapid incident resolution.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical support or engineering roles within SaaS or security‑focused environments.
- Proficient in Python scripting, Linux system administration, and AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudWatch).
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLAN) and experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
