Technical Support Engineer with hands‑on experience in IP‑based CCTV, access control, fire alarm, networking, and IT infrastructure, responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and customer support of security and safety solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission IP‑based CCTV surveillance systems, ensuring optimal video quality and network integration.
- Deploy and program access control hardware and software, including card readers, biometric devices, and door controllers.
- Set up, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in compliance with safety standards.
- Provide networking support for LAN/WAN, VLAN, and Wi‑Fi components that interconnect security devices.
- Deliver on‑site and remote troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and technical assistance to customers.
- Collaborate with project teams and service engineers to document installations, create as‑built drawings, and ensure successful project handover.
Requirements
- Proven experience with installation, commissioning, and support of CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems.
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, Wi‑Fi) and ability to integrate security devices into corporate IT infrastructure.
- Hands‑on troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities, with a focus on timely issue resolution.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or security‑system vendor certifications) are a plus.
