Software Engineer
Provide technical assistance for industrial weighing and measurement solutions, diagnosing hardware issues, guiding customers, and collaborating with engineering teams using Linux and automation tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on load cells, scales, and measurement systems for a diverse industrial client base.
- Provide clear, timely technical support via phone, email, and remote sessions, documenting all interactions in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with product engineering to reproduce field problems, suggest design improvements, and verify fixes.
- Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and knowledge‑base articles to empower customers and internal teams.
- Assist with installation, calibration, and commissioning of weighing equipment on‑site or remotely, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Strong background in troubleshooting electronic/mechanical hardware, preferably in industrial measurement or automation.
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems and basic networking concepts for remote diagnostics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex technical information to non‑technical users.
- Experience with industrial automation protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, Ethernet/IP) and familiarity with PLC or HMI environments is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
