Software Engineer
Technical Support Engineer responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining software and telecom systems, ensuring quality through rigorous QA practices and proactive preventive maintenance. Works across the SDLC to deliver reliable IT solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies and procedures across the software development life cycle.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of software products and information systems.
- Execute and document results of software application tests and telecommunication system tests.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Develop and implement quality control programs.
- Coordinate IT projects, including design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
Requirements
- College, CEGEP, or equivalent 1–2 year diploma in a technical field.
- 2–3 years of experience in software support or quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, QA methodologies, and software testing.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and IT project coordination.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
