Experienced Fire & Security Engineer transitioning to an office‑based role, providing technical escalation support, designing customer solutions, conducting surveys, and enabling engineering, sales, and operations teams to deliver complex fire and security projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for field engineers and operational teams, troubleshooting complex fire and security issues.
- Conduct on‑site and remote customer surveys to gather requirements and translate them into detailed solution designs.
- Develop and document bespoke fire and security solutions, including alarm, access control, and CCTV integrations.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations to ensure proposals are technically sound and aligned with client needs.
- Provide training, guidance, and best‑practice documentation to internal teams and external partners.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in fire and security engineering, with hands‑on installation and service background.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and related security technologies.
- Proven ability to analyse technical problems, produce clear documentation, and communicate solutions to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience conducting customer surveys and translating requirements into functional designs.
- Excellent problem‑solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
