Entry‑level Technical Solutions Engineer focused on Google Cloud infrastructure and compute services, providing tier‑1 troubleshooting, network diagnostics, and scripting automation for customer issues.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and compute issues on Google Cloud Platform, including VM, networking, and storage services.
- Perform real‑time troubleshooting of customer environments, reproducing problems and guiding remediation steps.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Python) to streamline incident handling and data collection.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to advocate for customer needs and drive service improvements.
- Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and participate in on‑call rotations, including weekend and non‑standard hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Strong understanding of computer networking and web protocols (HTTP, DNS, HTML).
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Bash, or Java.
- Experience working with Google Cloud infrastructure services, particularly Compute Engine.
