What You’ll Be Doing You’ll contribute to CIBC’s Digital transformation by successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back-end systems. As a Technical Solution Designer within the Commercial Banking & Payments Technology group you’ll build, implement and enhance easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience. This role turns business and architecture concepts into implementable designs and supports both the development & project management in delivering the end product. As you lead the solution and strategy for the technical design of these applications, you’ll help build the future of banking.

How You’ll Succeed

Design & Develop: Provide comprehensive senior level technical consulting to senior IT management and technical teams, working closely with multiple Technology groups and LOBs to identify and evaluate existing applications and determine the best and most relevant approaches and next steps. Provide excellent advisory and SME expertise on best practices, methods and detailed approaches to integrating multiple applications in a highly complex environment, including helping to create high-level Design artifacts, identify design issues as well as detailed system integration plans. Perform evaluation as well as selection of new and emerging tools and techniques and support the development of business/technology proposals by estimating implementation costs and evaluating options. Work with the BAs to ensure a full set of Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) are defined as appropriate to the project. Provide end-to-end technology solutions in alignment with business vision and overall payments technology strategy.
