Software Engineer
Provides global technical support for specialty surgical tables and patient positioning products, troubleshooting issues, training customers and field engineers, and ensuring compliance with medical device regulations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, international distributors, field service engineers, and account managers worldwide.
- Diagnose and resolve product performance issues, providing detailed troubleshooting guidance and on‑site support when required.
- Develop and deliver product training sessions, technical documentation, and best‑practice guides to ensure proper usage and maintenance of surgical tables.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and regulatory teams to address design concerns, implement corrective actions, and maintain compliance with FDA and international medical device standards.
- Track and report technical incidents in the service management system, contributing to continuous improvement of service processes and product reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience providing technical support for medical devices or complex equipment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering clear technical instructions to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and other relevant medical device compliance standards.
