Technical Research Analyst with 4–8 years experience performing quantitative technical analysis, building chart‑based investment models, and delivering research reports using Python, SQL and visualization tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative technical analysis of equities, derivatives and macro indicators to uncover high‑conviction investment ideas.
- Develop and maintain automated charting and screening tools using Python, SQL and Bloomberg data feeds.
- Prepare professional, chart‑driven research reports and presentations for internal and client‑facing distribution.
- Collaborate with fundamental research teams to integrate technical insights into multi‑asset investment strategies.
- Monitor market trends, back‑test strategies, and continuously refine models to improve risk‑adjusted returns.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience in technical or quantitative research within asset management, brokerage or research firms.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib) and SQL for data extraction, manipulation and analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with Bloomberg Terminal, charting platforms (e.g., TradingView, MetaStock) and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods, time‑series analysis, and financial modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to create clear, data‑driven research reports and presentations.
