What You'll Do
As a trusted advisor to our customers, you'll work closely with executives, business stakeholders, engineers, and delivery teams to transform customer requirements into successful technology solutions.
Your responsibilities include:
- Partner with Ultra Tendency's sales, consulting, delivery, and Databricks teams throughout the customer lifecycle—from opportunity qualification to proposal, project kickoff, and successful delivery.
- Lead customer engagements, workshops, and discovery sessions to understand business objectives, data strategies, and technical challenges.
- Take ownership of project management activities for customer projects across Japan and APAC, ensuring successful planning, coordination, and execution.
- Translate customer requirements into practical solution approaches in collaboration with our technical delivery teams.
- Serve as the primary technical and business advisor during pre-sales activities, executive meetings, and solution discussions.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, solution proposals, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept approaches.
- Support proposal development, project estimation, Statements of Work (SoW), commercial discussions, and RFP/RFI responses.
- Coordinate with engineering, delivery, partners, and customer stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition from sales into implementation.
- Build long-term trusted relationships with customer executives, business leaders, and technical teams.
- Represent Ultra Tendency at customer meetings, partner events, conferences, and strategic engagements throughout Japan and APAC.
- Provide market feedback and customer insights to help shape new service offerings and go-to-market strategies.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution consulting, project management, customer success, technology consulting, or enterprise technology delivery.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data platforms, cloud technologies, analytics, and modern data architectures.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Experience facilitating customer workshops, discovery sessions, and requirements gathering.
- Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing customer-facing technology projects.
- Experience working in international and multicultural environments.
- Business-level Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent) and professional English communication skills.
- Strong ability to translate business challenges into technology solutions without requiring hands-on software development.
