ASSYST is seeking an experienced Technical Project Lead to support our client in delivering strategic data engineering and AI adoption initiatives. This role is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, business analysis, project execution, and implementation of moderate to complex technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing enterprise-level technical projects involving cloud platforms, data engineering, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, the Project Lead will coordinate cross-functional teams, monitor project progress, manage deliverables, and ensure successful alignment between business objectives and technology solutions. The position requires exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex enterprise environment.
This is a hybrid position based in Austin, TX , requiring 2 days onsite (Wednesdays and Fridays) and 3 days remote . Only candidates currently residing in Texas will be considered.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of moderate to complex technical projects.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional project plans and implementation strategies.
- Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, resource allocations, and success metrics.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, resolve issues, and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Support a Technical Project Manager in delivering enterprise data engineering and AI adoption initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data engineers, developers, analysts, vendors, and executive leadership.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between business, engineering, platform, and AI teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead project activities involving data architecture, data modeling, data warehousing, business intelligence, analytics, and cloud technologies.
- Manage project budgeting, forecasting, financial tracking, and resource planning activities.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project charters, schedules, risk registers, status reports, and lessons learned.
- Utilize project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet to manage project activities.
- Support initiatives involving cloud platforms, enterprise applications, data pipelines, and digital transformation programs.
- Ensure projects adhere to organizational standards, governance, compliance, security, and data management principles.
