Lead the design and delivery of Acorns’ Payments, Billing, and Account Linking systems, driving cross‑functional collaboration, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement using Agile and cloud‑native practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve the end‑to‑end Payments, Billing, and Account Linking infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Lead cross‑functional teams (engineering, product, compliance, ops) through Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
- Define and enforce technical standards, API contracts, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with finance and legal teams to implement regulatory requirements and fraud prevention controls.
- Track and report on program metrics, risks, and dependencies, driving continuous improvement and stakeholder alignment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of program or product management experience in fintech or payments.
- Deep understanding of payment flows, billing cycles, and account linking protocols (OAuth, Open Banking).
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and API design.
- Strong Agile facilitation skills and proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving abilities.
