Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program management.
Experience with data center physical infrastructure (e.g., space, power, cooling, fiber).
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience in an engineering or program management role involving multi-disciplinary fields such as network, fiber, electrical, or mechanical (cooling).
- Experience working on defining and designing data center infrastructure.
- Experience in construction management.
- Network engineering experience or familiarity with network architectures.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to translate physical infrastructure demands (space, power, cooling, fiber) to requirements of building designs.
- Work closely with design engineering firms, construction contractors, DC providers, and other partner teams to develop solutions that can be deployed to support Google’s Public Sector (GPS) ICD-705 data center demands.
- Review design and construction plans, providing technical input on MEP systems.
- Provide reporting and project tracking of Google Public Sector (GPS) data center design and construction projects.
- Coordinate necessary financial/technical approvals and manage budget/schedule for multiple concurrent projects.
