About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking an experienced Technical Product Analyst (Data & Agile Lead) to support a large-scale enterprise modernization initiative with one of our Fortune 100 financial services clients.
This role bridges business and technology by partnering with Product Owners, developers, architects, and business stakeholders to define product requirements, analyze complex business processes, and deliver scalable technology solutions using Agile methodologies.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, excels at gathering and translating business requirements into user stories, and is comfortable working with data, APIs, SQL, and modern software development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions with business and technical stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
- Partner with Product Owners, developers, architects, and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop process flows, prototypes, wireframes, and functional specifications.
- Analyze upstream and downstream system integrations and data movement.
- Support product roadmap planning and backlog prioritization.
- Assist with product delivery, testing, and implementation activities.
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to business and technical leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Owner.
- Strong Agile experience working within Scrum teams.
- Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
- Experience with data integration, data modeling, or data migration.
- Experience working with APIs and microservices.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, banking, mortgage, or regulated industries.
- Experience with DB2 or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Angular applications.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with Cypress or other automation testing tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
