Lead production support for non‑Oracle financial applications in a complex AWS environment, driving monitoring, incident coordination, and vendor management while applying architectural expertise to ensure high availability and performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end production support for enterprise financial applications outside Oracle, ensuring 24/7 availability and rapid incident resolution.
- Design and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and health checks across AWS services to proactively detect and mitigate failures.
- Coordinate cross‑functional incident response, including root‑cause analysis, communication with stakeholders, and post‑mortem documentation.
- Manage relationships with third‑party vendors and service providers, negotiating SLAs and ensuring compliance with performance metrics.
- Apply architectural best practices to optimize application performance, scalability, and cost efficiency within the AWS ecosystem.
- Mentor and coach junior support staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of production support experience in a financial services environment.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.) and related monitoring tools.
- Proven incident management and root‑cause analysis skills, with a track record of reducing MTTR.
- Strong architectural mindset, able to design resilient, scalable solutions for mission‑critical applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience leading vendor engagements.
