About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and engineering of pipe and pump systems across utilities, resources, and local government projects.
- Develop detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, and calculations for piping, valves, and pump assemblies.
- Perform CFD and hydraulic analyses to optimize flow, pressure, and energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure design compliance and timely delivery.
- Integrate PLC and instrumentation controls for pump operation and monitoring.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout project life cycles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with a focus on fluid systems.
- 5+ years of experience in pipe and pump design for water or utilities projects.
- Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CFD tools (ANSYS, Fluent).
- Strong understanding of PLC programming and instrumentation for pump control.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
