Lead technical governance and operations for a customer technology estate, ensuring stability, performance, and security across Microsoft platforms, networking, and end‑user services while serving as the primary escalation point for support teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and governance for the customer’s Microsoft‑based infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Act as the primary escalation point for Service Desk and operational support, delivering hands‑on expertise across Windows Server, Azure, and networking environments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including security hardening, automation, and cloud‑governance best practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and maintain virtualization (Hyper‑V) and end‑user computing solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and incident response procedures to support operational excellence.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, and enterprise networking.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation of infrastructure tasks.
- Strong understanding of security principles, compliance, and cloud governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor technical staff.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred.
