Engineering Manager
Lead the design and delivery of developer tools and real‑time APIs, driving best practices in JavaScript, Node.js, and React while ensuring scalable, cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the development of developer-facing SDKs, documentation, and tooling for real‑time APIs.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define feature roadmaps and technical standards.
- Mentor and coach a cross‑functional team of developers, fostering a culture of code quality, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Drive performance, reliability, and scalability improvements across the real‑time platform using AWS services.
- Advocate for developer experience best practices, gathering feedback and iterating on tooling and documentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full‑stack development experience, with deep expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
- Proven track record leading technical teams and delivering high‑quality, production‑ready code.
- Hands‑on experience with WebSocket, REST, and GraphQL APIs, plus real‑time messaging patterns.
- Strong knowledge of AWS architecture, including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for building developer‑first products.
