Lead the design and execution of enterprise integration solutions, driving strategy, architecture, and documentation to connect complex systems across a growing insurance platform using modern API and middleware technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the integration strategy for the MGA platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with Aviva Canada’s technology ecosystem.
- Architect and document integration solutions, including API contracts, data flows, and middleware configurations, to connect internal services and external partners.
- Analyze system requirements, identify integration risks, and propose mitigation plans to maintain data integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, engineering, operations) to deliver seamless end‑to‑end integration experiences.
- Lead technical documentation efforts, creating clear, maintainable artifacts for developers, QA, and support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in integration architecture, API design, and system analysis within a complex enterprise environment.
- Proficiency with modern integration patterns, RESTful APIs, and middleware platforms.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable artifacts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services sector is a plus.
