Software Engineer
Lead end‑to‑end technical implementation for emergency response solutions, driving cloud architecture, API integrations, and cross‑functional delivery using AWS, Python, and Node.js.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy scalable cloud solutions on AWS to support real‑time emergency data pipelines.
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and Node.js for seamless integration with third‑party services.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to define requirements, create implementation plans, and ensure on‑time delivery.
- Lead technical onboarding, training, and support for new clients, ensuring smooth adoption of RapidSOS platforms.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and API development, preferably in emergency services or related domains.
- Proficiency with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3) and strong Python/Node.js coding skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional projects and deliver complex technical solutions on schedule.
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of translating technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset and a passion for building life‑saving technology.
