Engineering Manager
Lead a high‑performing platform engineering team to design, build, and scale microservice‑based banking solutions on AWS, driving best‑in‑class architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a cross‑functional team of software engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
- Architect, design, and implement scalable microservices and REST APIs using Java and cloud‑native patterns on AWS.
- Define and enforce CI/CD best practices, automated testing, and release management to ensure rapid, reliable delivery.
- Collaborate with product, security, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that meet performance, compliance, and reliability standards.
- Drive Agile Scrum processes, sprint planning, and retrospectives to maintain high velocity and predictable delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong Java development background.
- Proven track record leading engineering teams delivering microservice architectures in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
- Hands‑on expertise with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI) and automated testing frameworks.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience acting as a Scrum Master or similar role.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams.
