About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the AI strategy that supports national security objectives and economic competitiveness.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, engineers, and analysts to design, develop, and deploy machine‑learning models at scale.
- Coordinate with government partners and external research institutions to integrate emerging AI technologies into intelligence workflows.
- Oversee the architecture and cloud infrastructure required for secure, high‑performance AI workloads.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management for senior AI staff.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in AI/ML research, development, and operational deployment, preferably in a government or large‑scale enterprise setting.
- Proven expertise in Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable policy and strategic recommendations.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing high‑performing technical teams.
- Security clearance eligibility and familiarity with intelligence community processes.
