Data Engineer
Lead the design and maintenance of data pipelines that transform and enrich maintenance manual data, leveraging Python, SQL, Airflow, and AWS to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for aviation data analytics.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load maintenance manual data into data warehouses.
- Implement and manage Airflow DAGs for scheduled data processing and monitoring.
- Collaborate with data scientists and domain experts to define data models and ensure data quality.
- Optimize query performance and storage costs on AWS services such as Redshift, S3, and Glue.
- Document data flows, schema changes, and best practices for future maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Python, SQL, and Airflow in a production environment.
- Hands‑on knowledge of AWS data services (Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena).
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL concepts, and data warehousing principles.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience in the aviation or aerospace domain is a plus.
