About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HMCTS stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements for new and enhanced court systems.
- Translate functional needs into technical specifications, working closely with developers, QA, and data teams.
- Facilitate workshops, user story mapping, and backlog grooming sessions to prioritize features and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend data‑driven improvements to support service delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including use cases, process flows, and test scenarios, ensuring traceability across the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a public sector or regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and tools such as JIRA.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
- Familiarity with data analysis techniques and basic SQL queries.
