Software Engineer
Lead the design and delivery of Speechify’s Web Core product and Chrome Extension, driving performance, accessibility, and feature innovation using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement high‑performance, accessible web and Chrome Extension features using React, TypeScript, and modern web APIs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize backlogs, and deliver on time.
- Mentor and guide engineering teammates, fostering best practices in code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
- Optimize application performance, memory usage, and load times across browsers and devices.
- Integrate with Speechify’s backend services and third‑party APIs to enable seamless text‑to‑speech experiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full‑stack web development experience, with a strong focus on front‑end and Chrome Extension development.
- Experience building and maintaining large‑scale, distributed applications.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for delivering high‑quality user experiences.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
