AI Engineer
Lead the design and delivery of generative AI proof‑of‑concepts for software development, guiding a data‑engineering team, integrating AI solutions into existing workflows, and driving efficiency and innovation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a proof‑of‑concept strategy for applying generative AI to software development processes.
- Collaborate with development squads to embed generative AI models into CI/CD pipelines, code review tools, and documentation workflows.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers, providing technical direction on model training, data pipelines, and deployment.
- Design, develop, and fine‑tune generative AI applications using Python and modern machine‑learning frameworks.
- Evaluate cloud infrastructure options, orchestrate scalable deployments, and ensure performance, security, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python expertise.
- Hands‑on experience building, fine‑tuning, or deploying generative AI or large language models.
- Proven background in data engineering, including ETL pipeline design and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
- Solid understanding of machine‑learning concepts, prompt engineering, and model evaluation metrics.
