Lead backend engineering for Trust & Safety, designing and scaling content moderation, rule‑engine, and risk insight platforms to protect users and enhance moderation workflows.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the development of scalable backend services for content moderation, rule engines, and risk insight systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define feature requirements and translate them into robust, high‑performance code.
- Drive performance optimization, reliability, and security best practices across all Trust & Safety platforms.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Own end‑to‑end delivery, from design through production deployment and monitoring.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong focus on large‑scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency in a modern backend language (e.g., Java, Go, or Python) and experience with microservices architecture.
- Hands‑on experience building content moderation or risk‑analysis pipelines.
- Deep understanding of performance tuning, fault tolerance, and observability in production environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of leading technical teams.
