Software Engineer
Lead the Android core team to build high‑performance, accessible text‑to‑speech experiences using Kotlin, Jetpack, and MVVM, driving architecture, code quality, and cross‑functional collaboration.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and ship scalable Android features for a global user base, ensuring performance and accessibility.
- Mentor a distributed team of Android engineers, fostering best practices in Kotlin, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate user stories into robust, testable code.
- Own code quality: enforce unit, integration, and UI testing, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive continuous improvement of build times, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Android development experience, with deep expertise in Kotlin and Java.
- Proven track record leading technical teams and delivering production‑ready releases.
- Strong knowledge of Jetpack components, MVVM, and Clean Architecture patterns.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and performance profiling.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for building inclusive, accessible products.
