Lead a remote full‑stack team focused on embedded finance, driving payments, billing, and payouts across a SaaS platform using Node.js, React, Stripe, and AWS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction for payments and billing, including Stripe Connect, ACH, eCheck, recurring billing, payouts, and reconciliation.
- Consolidate legacy payment processors into a unified gateway and roll it out brand‑by‑brand across the product portfolio.
- Mentor and coach a distributed engineering team, fostering best practices and code quality.
- Collaborate with product, design, and operations to define feature requirements and delivery timelines.
- Ensure high availability, security, and compliance of all payment flows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full‑stack development experience with Node.js and React.
- Deep knowledge of payment systems, Stripe, ACH, eCheck, and recurring billing.
- Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong leadership skills and a proven track record of coaching remote teams.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
