On behalf of FinTech Client #2 , SD Solutions is looking for a talented Team Lead to own a critical product area: an end-to-end back-office platform combined with a marketplace connecting borrowers, brokers, and debt investors.
This is not a traditional engineering leadership role. You will lead an AI-first engineering team, where coding agents are first-class contributors and human engineers act as architects, reviewers, and quality gatekeepers. The pace is fast, the expectations are high, and the bar for quality is uncompromising.

Responsibilities:
Lead an AI-First Engineering Team
- Design and operate a development environment where AI coding agents generate a significant portion of the codebase.
- Define workflows where humans guide, review, and validate — rather than manually implementing everything.
- Continuously improve how AI is used across development, testing, and delivery.
Own Delivery of a Mission-Critical Platform
- Lead development of a back-office system for managing the full lifecycle of real estate bridging loans.
- Lead development of a marketplace platform connecting borrowers, brokers, and debt investors.
- Take full ownership of architecture through to production.
Drive Engineering Quality
- Establish and enforce high standards for code quality, testing, and system reliability.
- Ensure rapid AI-driven development does not compromise stability or user experience.
Manage and Grow a Team
- Lead a team of 3–6 engineers.
- Mentor engineers to evolve into AI-native builders.
- Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Operate with a Startup Mindset
- Move fast with minimal bureaucracy.
- Take ownership across the full stack.
- Make pragmatic decisions, balancing speed and scalability.
Ensure Security & Compliance
- Build systems with data security and compliance as first-class concerns.
- Ensure adherence to best practices for handling sensitive financial data.
Requirements:
Must-Have Experience
- Minimum 6 years of software development experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a team lead/engineering manager position.
- Experience managing a team of 3+ developers .
