Boarhog is accepting applications for a Senior-level Engineer to support U.S. Navy networks for the U.S. Navy's Tactical Afloat Networks Program Office (PMW-160) in a hybrid work environment in San Diego, CA. Specifics include coordinating efforts to rapidly field new network implementations and integration of external stakeholder capabilities leveraging Tactical Networks. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting CONOPS development and Fleet Introduction activities
- Managing integration efforts with external stakeholder capabilities
- Coordinating with Fleet Commands, Warfare Development Commands, other PMWs, and PAE enterprise partners
- Leading remote engineering teams supporting development, testing, modeling, simulation, and integration for tactical networks products tasks.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience supporting engineering of Information Technology or network systems for DoD or Government agencies and meeting the specific requirements of the proposed LCAT.
EDUCATION: Bachelors of Science degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science required.

REQUIRED POSITION-SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years' experience leading multi‑site or remote engineering teams
- 7+ years' experience developing technical documentation (concepts, requirements, integration plans, or CONOPS)
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across Navy programs, Fleet organizations, Warfare Development Commands, or other federal agencies
- Experience supporting network or systems integration, testing, and fielding activities
- Experience with modeling, simulation environments, or engineering tools used in network/system development
- Experience troubleshooting and restoring network or system issues in operational or fleet‑support contexts
- Proven track record of performance in stakeholder‑facing roles requiring relationship building and cross‑program coordination
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Tactical Networks systems, architectures, or fielding processes
- Experience supporting Fleet Introduction activities or operational fleet coordination
- Experience with transport, connectivity, or network‑centric systems engineering
- Experience with DevSecOps, NetDevOps, or automated testing frameworks
- Experience with modeling network/system behavior using Python, JSON/YAML, or similar formats
- Experience developing or maturing complex cross‑enterprise engineering efforts
- Ability to autonomously move engineering efforts forward with limited oversight
