Systems Test Solutions Engineering Lead - BAE Systems USA

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the development of test strategies and architectures for complex electronic systems supporting aerospace and defense platforms.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and tools using C++ and Python to improve test efficiency and coverage.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to integrate test solutions early in the product lifecycle and ensure compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., DO‑254, MIL‑STD‑810).
• Mentor and guide a team of test engineers, fostering best practices in test planning, execution, and data analysis.
• Manage test infrastructure, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) and software‑in‑the‑loop (SIL) environments, to support rapid prototyping and verification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience in systems test engineering.
• Proven expertise in test automation development using C++ and Python, and familiarity with embedded software testing.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace and defense standards, test methodologies, and verification processes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams and delivering complex test solutions on schedule.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
