Security Engineer
Systems Security Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and operating security controls across defense programs, leveraging Python automation, Linux expertise, AWS cloud services, SIEM monitoring, and vulnerability management while maintaining required security clearance.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate security solutions into mission‑critical programs, ensuring compliance with DoD and industry standards.
- Automate security monitoring, incident response, and remediation workflows using Python and cloud‑native tools.
- Configure, tune, and operate SIEM platforms to detect, investigate, and mitigate threats in real time.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and remediation planning across Linux and AWS environments.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Active U.S. security clearance (Secret or higher) and eligibility to work on classified defense projects.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience securing Linux systems and cloud infrastructures, preferably AWS.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation of security tasks and data analysis.
- Experience with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, or ArcSight) and incident response processes.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability management frameworks and ability to conduct thorough risk assessments.
