Software Engineer
Systems Requirements Engineer responsible for defining, structuring, and tracing requirements for next‑generation electric rotorcraft (eVTOL) platforms, using model‑based tools and aerospace certification standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and maintain clear, verifiable, and traceable system requirements for eVTOL platforms throughout the product lifecycle.
- Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques using SysML to create requirement models and ensure alignment with architecture and design.
- Manage requirements in IBM DOORS (or equivalent) and maintain bidirectional traceability to verification, validation, and certification artifacts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (airframe, propulsion, control, software) to ensure requirements are feasible, complete, and compliant with aerospace standards such as ARP4754 and DO‑178C.
- Support certification activities by providing requirement evidence, impact analyses, and change control documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in requirements engineering within aerospace or high‑performance vehicle development.
- Proficiency with MBSE tools (SysML) and requirements management tools (IBM DOORS, Jama, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of aerospace certification processes and standards (e.g., ARP4754, DO‑178C, FAA/EASA).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
