Job Description
Primary Function of Position
Reporting to the Endoluminal PMO Manager, you will be accountable for the leadership of projects related to the development and manufacturing of system hardware and/or software for the Endoluminal Business Unit. You will be aligning engineering, manufacturing and regulatory schedules, ensuring that the right products are created and delivered at the time of market introduction to ensure the success of the platform. Your influence will be critical to ensure excellent cross-functional communication and coordination.
The position requires significant experience in medical technology products and the ability to combine that experience with knowledge of bringing projects through a development cycle, manufacturing transfer and launch. This role requires an understanding of product development process, manufacturing, supplier management, project management, and most importantly managing through influence.
Essential Job Duties
Effectively manage cross-functional development teams across the Business Unit and Shared Services, providing oversight on critical projects, and ensuring the teams deliver against their commitments within the project contract.
Manages the project plan by identifying critical path, constraints, contingencies and mitigations to achieve project objectives.Escalates threats to project plan as required to functional management and senior leadership
Ongoing collaboration with cross-functional teams to update weekly/monthly/quarterly reports on project status and ensure that cross-product dependencies are understood, planned for, and crisply executed
Perform risk analysis, develop contingency plans, and gather data from functions to proactively raise prioritization and scheduling tradeoff decisions
