Software Engineer
Lead the planning and optimization of produced water gathering, disposal, and recycling systems, translating forecasts into infrastructure scopes, managing hydraulic models, and delivering design and budget estimates while ensuring regulatory compliance and cost efficiency.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain system‑wide hydraulic models to support planning of water gathering, disposal, and recycling infrastructure.
- Translate customer development plans and forecasted water volumes into detailed infrastructure scopes, preliminary routing, and design basis documents.
- Prepare budgetary AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) estimates and provide cost‑optimization recommendations to the project execution team.
- Ensure all system designs comply with state injection regulations, seismicity limits, and other environmental standards.
- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and driving throughput improvements across the infrastructure portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental) with extensive experience in water systems planning and optimization.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC‑RAS, EPANET, or similar) and strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop cost estimates, budgets, and design basis documentation for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
- In‑depth knowledge of state water injection regulations, seismicity constraints, and environmental compliance.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and coordinating cross‑functional project activities.
