Systems IT Operations Engineer responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and automating hybrid Azure/on‑prem infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and enterprise applications, while collaborating with engineering teams and vendors.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the health of hybrid Azure and on‑premise environments, including servers, storage, and network devices.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and patch management using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to implement resilient, scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Perform incident response, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement of operational processes.
- Manage backups, capacity planning, and performance tuning for both Windows and Linux workloads.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services and on‑premise Windows/Linux server administration.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VLANs, routing, and firewalls.
- Experience with monitoring and logging platforms (e.g., Splunk, Azure Monitor) and incident management.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, hybrid environment.
