Implementation Engineer
Systems Integration Engineer responsible for integrating and validating complex undersea warfare subsystems in a simulated tactical lab, handling software builds, hardware configuration, network connectivity, and system performance troubleshooting.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage cross‑site network connectivity, servers, storage, displays, HMI, KVM switches, and BIOS settings in a lab environment.
- Compile, build, and install software components for the AN/SQQ‑89 combat system, ensuring version control and reproducibility.
- Integrate hardware subsystems, perform diagnostics, and resolve interface issues between sensors, processors, and display units.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality, performance, and interoperability across simulated tactical scenarios.
- Maintain virtualized test environments, manage VM images, and automate deployment scripts.
- Document integration procedures, test results, and issue resolutions for stakeholder review.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; 3+ years of systems integration experience.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for build automation and test scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN), and hardware debugging tools.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and lab infrastructure management.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance.
