Systems Integration & Test Engineer responsible for designing, integrating, and validating software for the Terminal Flight Data Manager, using C++, Python, model‑based design, and FAA‑approved safety standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integration and test plans for the Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) system.
- Implement and maintain software components in C++ and Python, ensuring compliance with DO‑178C and other FAA standards.
- Utilize model‑based design tools to create simulations and verify system behavior under various traffic scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve integration issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and deliver corrective actions.
- Maintain configuration control and versioning using Git and Linux‑based build environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of systems integration and test experience.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming for embedded and real‑time applications.
- Hands‑on experience with model‑based design, simulation tools, and FAA certification processes (e.g., DO‑178C).
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, scripting, and version control (Git).
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast‑paced aerospace environment.
