Senior Systems Instrumentation Engineer responsible for modernizing test range telemetry and RF monitoring, providing technical guidance, and shaping acquisition plans and documentation for advanced instrumentation solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical advice and support for the modernization of telemetry and RF spectrum monitoring systems across the test range.
- Lead the consolidation, review, and coordination of acquisition documentation, including RFPs, PWSs, and pre‑proposal sources.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders to develop acquisition plans that align with test range architecture and operational concepts.
- Track and report on acquisition progress, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and program objectives.
- Act as a liaison between engineering teams, vendors, and end users to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
Requirements
- Strong background in telemetry systems and RF spectrum monitoring technologies.
- Proven experience in systems engineering and instrumentation acquisition processes.
- Deep understanding of test range architecture and operational concepts.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with government and industry partners.
- Ability to manage multiple technical documents and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
